Rotate Object

To access this dialog:

  • With wireframe data loaded, activate the Surfaces ribbon and select Edit | Rotate.

  • Run the command 'rotate-wireframe' or use the quick keys 'row'

This dialog is used to specify and apply rotation settings for a loaded object or selected wireframe data. Specify the required settings and click Apply to update the current view, or OK to update the view and dismiss this dialog.

Note: This command supports flexible wireframe selection.

Field Details:

The following fields are available:

Rotate By: specify the extent of the rotation here, and the axis or axes to perform a rotation about. All values should be represented in either positive or negative values, as degrees.

Rotate Around: by default, rotation will be performed around the center point of the view plane, however, you can also elect to rotate around the volumetric centre of the selected object (Centroid) or by a specified point in 3D space (Point).

If Point is selected, you can either explicitly define an XYZ location for the rotation origin, or use the Data Picker button to pick a point in any 3D window that will act as the point of rotation.
